I thought this had been covered before…but I didn’t find anything.
Anyway, I had a phone number to a local shop that did wheel widening on aluminum wheels for like $175 a wheel…but can’t find the number. Does anyone know of said shop, or any place that does this? I’ve been having a difficult time finding a shop that’ll touch an aluminum wheel…
so im looking at their wheel repair stuff, and is it just me or do those wheels look POORLY photoshopped? the pixels shift if u look around the perimeter of the wheel
edit, nevermind, it was just firefox compressing the pictures
when u click ont he links on the page, firefox opens a new window but comresses the size of the picture when its displayed, it only looks fine when u un zoom the picture by clicking on it
yea, my uncle has a shop in hamburg and he does aluminum welding, and i think i have seen him do a few wheels before so pm me if you want details

I would be interested…any chance you could post the info here in case others want to know???
I just got off the phone with WeldCraft and they can take my 17x8.5’s to a 10.5" for $175 a wheel. I remember talking with them a few years back and they turned down the offer to work with an aluminum wheel…wierd. But nice to know they do it now.
So $350 (+shipping) to widen my wheels…or $550 shipped for a set of FR500’s…decisions, decisions, decisions. Either way, a 315/35/17 would look alright out back:)
ROH ZR6…they’ve been discontinued for the last 8 years now. I like the fact that 1) I’ve had these wheels for the last 10 years 2) I’ve seen maybe 5 other Mustangs in those 10 years with these, and 3) they’ve kindof become the car’s image if you will. The more I think about it I’d be more inclined to widen these and keep the somewhat sleeper look going. Only reason I mentioned FR500’s is the fact I could get a completely different look out of the car, I wouldn’t get rid of the ROH’s…just take a break from them.
Thanks for the compliments on the wheels, I’ll tell them tonight when I go home:)
they are nice as well, but custom widened wheels that no one else has > off the shelf rammmz.
do you plan on adding to the inside or outside?

Inside. Right now they fit perfectly flush to the fender lip, and in my few moments of measuring I have about 3" to the inner frame/wheel wells. I agree about the FR500’s…they look nice but I’m not 100% sold on them.
I’m interested to hear what strokingnova’s uncle can offer…
