And again! http://www.leftlanenews.com/worker-at-dodge-dart-plant-admits-to-drinking-on-the-job.html
Lots and lots of people drink on lunch from just about every industry
A beer on lunch is a whole lot different than drinking so much at work that you get a DWI while driving home.
So if someone gets killed because of drinking on this job, does the Union get sued because they are the reason this happend?
X…
How about every person that walks into the plant before being able to work… has to take a manditory Breathilizer. That wont cost anything but to have the unit on site. Each Employee pays for the plastic inserts for the device. That will stop them from drinking on the job.
Agreed 100% Also add in quarterly hard drug testing to flush out 90% of your deadbeat workers… all the more job opportunity for me!
So here is where this fails
Those breathalyzers need to be administered by someone and best case it takes what 60sec to complete if not more?
How many people do you think work in a factory that size? Also how many go on lunch/break at a similar time? You see where im going with this?
Or i’m sure their employee handbook/agreement they sign have some clause about being under the influence at work and like 99% of places if something happens at work(accident/whatever) you have to be taken by someone of management level for an immediate drug test.
The quarterly/random drug tests seem like a better option.
They could always do a random breathalyzer for those returning from lunch, or the beginning of each shift. It won’t catch everyone, but it will make people think twice, and wouldn’t take as long.
Amazingly, Ahlert’s latest offense was his fifth DUI, according to the Janesville Gazette.
Impressive^ LOL
