Andrew (Smokin) Get to work!

What? I have cut 6cyl springs in the front of my car. Educate yourself fool!!

my z has the old 6 cyl springs in the rear also they ride better and squat when commanded to by the pedal

real common to put 4 cylinder springs in the rear of fox bodies. Mine are still stock springs though.

drew your shocks are not meant for drag strip, the are meant to handle, you want the complete opposite if you want to launch it and on top of that your lowered, even with stickies you’ll still have a hard time launching. Didnt you also remove the rubber inner piece of the spring in the rear? if so that also makes it harder to hook, your car is really setup to handle, i wouldnt get so caught up on how you do at the track, your car is more of a street car

also i wouldnt even worry about getting a 12 bolt, if you were to put drag radials on your car now i still dont think you would hook hard enough to break your 10 bolt, your car just isnt setup for the drag strip

dude, jump on ls1tech and in the search type in “hose mod”…

theirs 50+ threads on this. Its the most popular mod to do to F-bodys.

yah…when I did all my suspension work on my car I was trying to get a good handling but well Hooking street setup out of it…guess thats hard to do tho

but I did a burnout the last time I was at lebanon and when I was still spinning them out of the water box, I hooked at 4k and freaken everything went nuts on my car…My low traction shit came flashing on ( I had TCS off), their was a loud bang under my car (my torque arm smacked my floor board and exhaust) and it scared the shit out of me lol so I wont do that again.

that trq arm shouldnt be anywhere near the body under steam or not kid

They’re not competition tires. They’re certainly not all-seasons as far as wet grip and wear goes, but they work just fine for DD duty. They’re actually not on the car now, only on and off for auto X and maybe a week before one.

And based on all of the research I’ve done and the people I’ve talked to, these are one of the fastest-heating up street tires for auto X out there. I love them for auto X.

word…:clap

Brah,

No reason for a waterbox burnout on street tires. Drive around the water box, and just quickly spin them to clean them off.

I think 94gt5.0’s slogan works with this thread:rockon… just see if it “goes or blows” and just “run what you brung we brought more”:ahh and if the rear end brakes it just simply brakes:’(… thats what test and tune is all about.

dudeee, no. Just no.

Calm down! :shifty

:facepalm

annnnndddd

get a life pete I have essays to write every week and aiming for an A in english which is my worse subject so fuck off with the neg reps plus my intake hasn’t came yet and im not duct-taping it like a poor hill billy

I know this…and the first run of the night that worked awesome.

But as the night went on and all the goons drove through the water box and got water on the track, it fucks it all up even if you drive around it.

Adam keeps it tight.
