Very nice!
I think I’m going to try to hold off till BN rolls out with the 2.2 update that’s supposed to happen sometime this month. If they fix the annoying keyboard and the flash/pinch-to-zoom lacking browser I might just keep it as is.

why not just buy an actual android tablet? The Xoom looks BA, but is pricey.
Price for me…plus I like the ereader portion of it for magazines and the occasionally book I read. Of course the Galaxy Tab is dropping in price on contract so I’m wondering where the wifi only will be priced once if comes out.
$250 vs $550…
I get to play with tablets all the time at work, and after playing with a rooted Nook there really wasn’t a doubt in my mind as to what I’d be purchasing. I’m not saying it is superior to an actual Android tab on specs, but it sure as hell is on price.
Can you watch movies on a Nook color?
Once rooted, it still doesn’t have Flash… so no watching movies from something like streetfire.net. However, youtube still works for short clips/videos. I haven’t loaded any movies on my microSD card to see if it plays off of it, but I would imagine yes.
Yeah I’m thinking like watching divx movies on an airplane with better battery life than my netbook?
there is a android tablet on woot.com today for 109.99
Up.
I’m now in the market for a similar product… hopefully all the stuff you guys were waiting for to hit have finally dropped.
Wants:
Android OS
NO contract, WiFi only
Large screen
Good amount of inputs / outputs
Considering this right now:
Pros/cons/alternates?
transformer
galaxy 10.1
XOOM
in that order, in my opinion
Why in that order? I know the chipset in the Transformer is excellent, just wondering why you’d value them in that hierarchy.
Transformer? Tegra 2. The dock is awesome and has some sweet usb inputs and other cool stuff. Plus it’s priced reasonably.
samsung seems to be partnered up with google on this, so I like it because it will be getting timely updates most likely. Also, it’s a great form factor. But as far as I know, no option of docking.
Xoom that I demoed was slow as piss, but I think updates will help with that. But still, I was ill impressed with the perfomance.
until i see samsung bring out updates faster i wont own one, they just got out the wifi version of the first galaxy tab a few months ago…
