well if you are tracking it, 18’s are probably easy/cheaper to find for tires than anything bigger plus lighter
I think not. Nice to see a “functional” set of wheels on a CTS for once.
wheels may be functional, but thos tires are certainly not. they need to be taller for a car with that much power, not only for looks, but for putting the power to the ground.
a 20 inch tall 10 inch wide tire has a smaller contact patch that a 24 inch tall 10 inch wide tire, not to mention making the effective gear ratio taller.
The front end looks messed up too, there is a big gap between the bumper and hood on the left side. Those wheels are siqq though. I’d like to see them on an EVO or STI.
That gap is large from the factory
yup, I was talking about it today at the open house. It had 225 AFRs and was making a pretty weak 460whp. Joe, and bret did some cathredral port dart heads, The T4P work, that flow 350cfm. Bret spec’d a smaller cam (240’s mild with 427 cubes) fixed a bunch of other crap from AZPS. It was 540 1st pull, ams tuned it to 553 I think he said.
Are you suggesting that AFR heads are weak? Funny that lots of people have no problem making big power with them. Many have gone over 500 rwhp with less cubic inches
Nope, I said that’s weak power for the mods. With 427 cubes, and aftermarket casting CNC ported heads, and a large cam making 460whp.
That might be power to be happy with for a build in your moms garage? I real shop I wouldn’t think so? I know it’s a CTSV and all but, that 1st set of LS1 heads I hand ported, put some good valve spring on them with the stock valves and valve job. With my smaller cam made more power on the 346 LS1 in my car. haha
Since its running the stock, weak-ass rear diff, prehaps that combo was targeted for the lower number to keep the diff intact. :gotme:
Sounds like more of “your” propaganda. Next time you completely build a combo from the block up in house you let me know. Until then leave the stupid comments to yourself and your little bang of cheerleaders. Funny you should mention a residential garage because I am pretty certain your heros Bret Bauer & Ed Curtis both work out of their house
dose my kitchen count?
I have, thanks lol
Not a fan of the wet look in the pics. Looks better stock.
