But on another note, the two years I lived in South Oakland when I was at Pitt, I had my dad’s 9mm hidden under my bed. We actually had a break in one night when I wasn’t home (the house next to us dealt drugs and they confused the houses) and my buddy “E” ran upstairs to my bedroom and got it and chased them out of the house. Luckily they only had knives.
About a month later, they did a big raid on the house next door and busted 3 or 4 guys with nearly a Kilo of heroin and over a Kilo of Cocaine.
Different situation, but it’s pretty bad that you have to think about your safety at a college campus now that something like this has happened at VT
