At the end of September I had 29 vinyl replacement windows installed by Clever Construction. The windows were 30 years old and were not doing the job of a window. The 29 windows included the windows in my garage and attic. I also had them re-wrap vinyl around my basement windows (glass block). As with every job, when taking out the old windows, they ran into issues. However, the unexpected issues were addressed and fixed and to my surprise, my original quote was not altered. This was my second job by Clever. I must say, I am very happy with the price and service I received both times. He has added functionality and curb appeal to my future investment property that didn’t break the bank as much as other contractors were trying to charge and sell.
The only issue that occurred were blemishes that I found on the windows (streaks from the factory wheels, particles between the glass, glass imperfections, etc). I know that everything is not made perfectly and imperfections are expected when these windows are getting mass produced in a factory. However, I am sort of a perfectionist and when I spend money on a new product, I expect the quality to be new to near new. I reached out to Alex after my wife and I cleaned all the windows and marked the imperfections on the windows. Alex had a rep from the manufacturer come to my house and go through each window that was marked by me. Alex provided his own concerns for some of the windows. In the end, any window that had a slight imperfection will be replaced.
