the vr6 isn’t really fast but its fun when built up, and even better when dropped in to a legit platform.

Yeap, IIRC only the Passats and GTI’s are actually assembled in Germany?
I don’t remember, all I know is my little Wolfsburg is tagged as being manufactured in Germany, and assembled in Mexico. I still love her though.
