Another PW thread- Electrical short

Ok, my window is now down on the Town Car. Issue:
A while ago I hit about 20 potholes in a row, and I went to put my window up. Nothing. After I shut the car off, and restarted it, the windows all worked again. This was the case, on and off, for a while, until yesterday, and I couldn’t get them to work. Tried and tried, until I decided to go intentionally hit some more potholes, and they finally worked again. Today I put the window down and it won’t go up. The pothole trick did not work. When I hit the switch, the light for the thermometer goes off, and the driver’s interior door light goes on. I should mention that my power seats, power locks, radio, and lighters never have worked. Also none of the interior lights, except one in back that stayed on every time the car was on, until I smashed it out. It used to leak water from the windshield, probably onto the fuse box. Fuses are all fine.

Anyway, I just need my front windows to work, badly. It’s a $400 POS so I don’t want to sink money into it. If I could figure out a way to rig it up so I would have a window that sealed and opened, I would. I’m guessing because of the pothole thing, something is loose. I have absolutely no electrical abilities at all, so what should I look for and where? Thanks!

Hmm, relay? Found one in the garage and tossed it in, window went up. Then I put the old one back in, window still worked again. It didn’t appear loose or corroded, but who knows. Hopefully it’s a fix and not a coincidence.
