buddy of mines is in need of a second programmed key for his daughters 02 explorer. I am wondering if anyone can help. cheapest I have heard is 70 from Towne ford. if it helps at all, I can get a blank programmable key. I just need it programmed

NO HAM FOR YOU. i have those instructions but since its an 02, in order to have a second master key, the dealer needs to program the key. if I had 2 keys this would make it soooo much easier on me seeing that I can program a third easy as pie for my remote start i have to install in this thing
i used to work at a ford dealer as a tech, that sucks man, but $70 is cheap for programming a new one with only 1 programmed key right now. I used to do a ton of those. I suggest getting atleast 2 more keys programmed right away with it to save on the charge.
once I get the second key programmed thru ford I can program a 3rd, thats cake. my cost on a key is like 6 bucks and takes 1 min to program
yeah the old key on engine off wait for the theft light to go out trick…i cant believe how many people go pay $70-$80 to have a 3rd key programmed when they have 2 good keys already
