Indeed! bbl burn extrodinaire.
30-378 :dunno:
lol well i ment 300 weatherby haha the 30-378 is disgusting
got the guns sited in today… the 6.5 swedish is probly my favorite shooting gun. i put two bullets on top of each other on the first two shots.
the 12 gauge is around 3 inch groups at 100 yards. not bad for a shotgun lol but damn that recoil is heavy
300 win mag. + Simmons scope
I wanna pick up a 22-250 and do a little more long range varmint shooting. All I have now is a 22LR with a 3-9x40. Takes chimpmunks heads off at 70 yards with cci stingers lol. Got a couple opposums at night with it and a maglight too.
try a .17. i easily can take hogs out at 200yds.even took afew farther. they shoot nice and flat.
im so pissed, i dont have the first day off from school that is such bull shit and then i have drill weekend next weekend which means i cant hunt for two weeks total bs
i love my 6mm for long range hogs. or a .243 with light 50-60 grain varmit loads. factory Vmax 55 grain varmit loads in a .243 are flatter shooting than 22 caliper loads. plus it carries more energy out to 400-500 yards to really get good kills on large hogs.
yeah I was thinking about those too…I don’t know what I want yet  .17 would probably be better, it’s starting to get built up around here
i love mine. i bought a ruger lever action .17. its short and light.
this one. the bottom pic on the right has a scope mounted
or you can be a real man and try hittin them with hot loaded 45/70’s 45/90’s or 405 winchester out of a old sharps or similar
Quiggley down under style
ok quik jr. enough with all the numbers. we get it, you can memorize things you read.
those are calibers… just like what everyone else posted in here
i know. which you read somewhere
I don’t get the 17 calibers at all. A .223 shoots flatter and is more poweful and ammo is cheaper. The only thing I can think of for the 17s is that absolutely zero recoil, other than that the guns are expensive and the ammo isn’t exactly cheap. I see no purpose at all for it.
I like the idea of .17, but not the prices yet…
i use a 257 weatherby with a sherpard scope.as far as the 300s go 300 weatherby is the best choice hands down.the ultra mag is not 2 far behind though.of course we hand load everything.factory shells suck.hands down
rem makes a .17 centerfire…anyone ever shoot one of those? I hear people using them on coyotes where fur damage needs to be minimal
how you figure .300 wby is better then the ultra?
its not… the ultra pushes more powder and velocity…its a superior case design
