Had a great time this weekend hanging around bullshitting and drinking.
First time I have been home since Friday.
Thanks to Ed for looking at my car and giving some ideas for the winter, Jeff for being home base, Joe for use of his dyno at the last minute, Jason for having the AWD dyno avail at a moments notice, Big Mack for waking up at 1pm to try and help us out on Saturday and Whores at Eat N Park for entertainment.
I hope you guys do do it again I only saw a few cars but Ed really impressed me
with his work, and he’s a nice guy, glad it worked out well
for everyone, I will say it was a little scary having a 5000+lb awd truck on the dyno doing 100+ but it was actually awesome to watch
Those numbers are correct Jason. The final numbers were 356 AWD hp and 369 AWD tq. I’m not sure what the % of loss is on AWD vs RWD dyno but I’m guessing maybe 10%. Jason is that accurate? The jeep is totally transformed at WOT and to me the drivability is improved. Ed exceeded my expectations for the CMR tune. Last note: I was driving till kinda late last night (thats why I didn’t post) and confirmed that my mpg has INCREASED by 2mpg overall when I’m driving civilized. I think the combination of flat A/F ratios and 40 extra ft/lbs across the whole curve has made the car a lot more efficient. Like I told Jeff last night. I came home grinning like a dog shi–ing a pine cone. Ed your the man
Thanks to everyone for making it an enjoyable event. I had a blast.
I have to say thanks especially to Jeff for being a great host. Thanks to the guys at both Pittsburgh Perf and J and S dyno. A big thanks to Matt for being my drinkin buddy!!! Thanks to Greg (quadman) for getting it all set up.
Don’t forget about us when you need some parts guys. We’re pretty price competitive. For those looking to buy a built motor at some point, Shawn’s one helluva engine builder.
Anyways, just wanted to say thanks to everyone. I hope to come back again.
If anyone needs to reach me, you can email me at edcmat-l1@msn.com, or ed@vaspeed.com. Or you can usually get me on any of the boards.
i would love to pick up another 30rwhp . On the dynojet i put down 367hp/365tq with the 93 predator tune. With headers and a cmr tune im hoping to get close to 400rwhp on the dynojet. Which would probably be like 360-70ish on jasons mustang dyno.
Bringing this one back up. Looks like Ed will be returning to Pittsburgh in April 2010 to tune. I will try to keep the original post updated with info. If you are interested please post up. Ed did a bangup job in November and was extremely thorough with each car he tuned.
