Any one a expert w/ a solder iron?

Need to xfer a bios chip from a logic board to another, Need someone who is top notch and confident with this job. Can not mess this up. Please let me know if any one here can do this.

I’ll mention it to an engineer buddy of mine. He’s like nasa certified level solder dude. Dunno if he will do side work tho. If so I’ll let ya know.

Yes please do - I have no problem paying the guy

What kid of part is it?
If It’s a BGA, you need some serious equipment.

My brother works at atto tech and they do some pretty difficult rework, but i’m sure it would cost you…?

Yea, what kind of chip is it? FPGA? BGA? or just a normal SMT chip?

FPGA/BGA anything like that you’re going to pay out the ass to get reworked; to the point were unless what you have on the chip is IRREPLACEABLE and you have a butt-load of $$ and are willing to take the risk of it not working afterwards; it’s not worth it.

just a normal 8 pin SMD chip.

Basically swap that chip from my old pcb to my new pcb.

make sure you clean it good…I suggest using a vacuum

haha - very funny.

(not)

You couldn’t just find the same model board?

don’t use a vacuum, that’s just dumb.

Use a paintbrush instead.
