I have a 10 week old Purebred Doberman Pinscher and I want to get his ears cropped and neutured. Though I’m not exactly sure about what week to do this , but I know it needs to be done soon. Im just looking for anyone reccomendations on where to go and pricing.

I understand why people say not to get the ears cropped but they just look so much better with it done. It’s like when people don’t snip the tail off of their rottweilers, they just look dumb. On the other side though I refuse to declaw my cats because they remove part of their toes to do it and that is basically the same thing.
I have been really happy with Amclare in Amherst. Used to go to Georgetown but you practically need a 2nd mortgage to afford them.

Yea, reading up on it. It also increases their hearing. Since they are so big, it is like placing your hands softly over your own ears and trying to hear like that.
my dog has floppy ears and hears just fine…
I’m not saying my dog doesnt hear just fine, supposedly better precise hearing and just a doberman thing.

I am going to leave with saying this though, the mafia(at least in the movies) cuts people’s ears off as a form of torture…
You should have just left without saying something stupid. Comparing cutting off someone’s ear while they’re wide awake vs a surgical procedure on a dog under general anesthesia is probably one of the dumbest things I’ve seen on nyspeed this week, and I read every post in the muscle50 callout thread.
Not saying I’d have it done on my dog, it’s a personal choice, but lets not start pushing PETA like levels of stupidity here.
