I thinking about getting a rottweiler, I would definitely get a puppy and want to raise my own that way I know how it has been treated and don’t get any suprise being that these dogs could possibly have issues. Anyways if anyone has experience with these dogs or knows any breeders around the area or the tri-state area I would greatly appreciate it.
I got a rot and love it we have had her for 7 years and she is a great dog… My buddies wives sisters rot just had puppies and she is selling them for $350… If u are interested i can get her number for u and u can call her. Just email me or text my phone at 724-344-5799
I had Rotties my entire life up until my last one passed when I was younger and my dad found our first beagle while he was hunting.
They are FABULOUS dogs. I want another one in the worst way. They are playful, extremely smart, and supremely loyal. In those instances, they aren’t much different from Pit Bulls and unfortunately sometimes have the same rep as some of the so called “Bully Breeds”
Dogs have a tendency for BAD hip problems so be very careful with them as they get older. It’s common for Rotties to only make it to 8 or 9 years old. It’s also becoming popular to not have their tails docked, although I think it looks really strange to see a Rott with a whole tail.
My buddy has 2 rots and I do not let anyone bring dogs into my house except him. Even though 1 of his rots doubles the weight of any two other dogs i know, they are the best behaved animals. I love those dogs but he puts alot of hours into training them to make them that way. There is definitely no mean streak in these dogs either.
I definitely agree with everyone who has posted, they’re great dogs.
One of my best friends growing up had a huge Rott, but it was hands down the nicest dog I have ever met. The only downfall was she thought she was a 180lb lapdog haha.
Friggen smart-ass dogs. I love Rots. Would’ve gotten one, but traveling with them can be tough because many places that allow dogs don’t allow Rots and Pit Bulls. And my dogs go everywhere with me.
The only thing I’m not into is that they are too big and too slobbery. But otherwise, they’re friggen incredible dogs.
Like any large breed, be very careful who you buy from. Real breeders of any dog usually have wait lists and don’t advertise. But they also have breeded out hip problems and bad dispositions over many generations. And they are more $$. But well worth it, IMHO. Otherwise, you just don’t know what you’re getting. Being able to see both parents (usually what backyard breeders think is a selling point) doesn’t mean squat, because you still have no idea of the tendencies both mentally and physically of that bloodline over many generations. Many real breeders farm out for stud anyhow. And with Rots, when you see a true Rot you’d be amazed at the subtle differences they have in appearance from backyard bred ones. They are different.
i have one, she is 8 years old now. amazing dog, very easy to train, smart as you train it to be, listens very well. very gentle, but knows when to protect us. i will always on a root. i got mine from a breeder in washington pa, her name is sally seeney, or seaney, not sure how to spell it. von cimmeron kennels is her brand. all big rotts she breeds, mine is 130+, which is good for a girl.
also, best temperament of any dog, loves kids, and other dogs.
let me find my dogs akc papers, the breeders info is on there. her dogs are pricey, but worth every penny. she guarentees against hip dysplasia, and if your dog does get it, she will either refund your money, or give you a puppy when you have to put your dog down.
awesome, its not about money for me cause i want to get one from a good place and would like to get one with the hip guarantee. You can even call/txt me if you want my number is 724 809 5480 or PM me thats fine. Thanks alot
