Any Winos out there??

“I’m NOT DRINKING ANY FUCKING MERLOT!”
:gay:

i love wine too… im starting to learn and build my stock up… my gf’s parents go to the wineries all the time… bed a breakfest stylez and they usually bring back a few boxes of whatever they sampled…

any good websites or info out there… any recomendations?

i know some people @ a winery in Cambria… they have some awesome stuff. Usually my other buddies (who are very close to them) go down there and have samples all night… like glasses of samples.

If any of you guys are interested and wanted to go, I’m sure I coould setup a private testing, we could buy some bottles @ discount and have a good time.

im down… bed and breakfast type of thing?

my parents are in the finger lakes doing wine testing as we speak

so why isn’t there a party at your house foo???

BTW - SilverGTP has a guy working for him who is part of that wine family, we might have sweet hookups there now.

And sorry, no its not a bed and breakfast… but i wonder if there is one around there.

Jason do you know?

there is come over

we are watching the sabres and bandits game

I’ll ask the guy that works with us if he can get us a deal

yes, yes I am. I’m a lush for wine and wine only. Oh, and the bubbly, but if it’s AMERICAN then it’s a no-go. Americans cannot make a good bottle of Champagne…

Me and the GF have been to the finger lakes a few times. Going this year ASAP.

cheapo wino…

ugh finger lake/NYS wines are not good wines lol

I can think of very few that are actually good. . .

really?

Wagner, Chateau Lafayette Renau, Lamoroux Landing, Standing Stone, Warm Lake and Dr. Konstantine Frank have all won INTERNATIONAL gold medals and all have wines that score over 90 pts.

as I said, Dr K is only ok, their Riesling is only good one. . .all the rest listed are pretty junky. If you like sweet wines, then most of those will be for you.

…and barefoot and yellow tail have all done the same as far as awards and ratings, it doesnt make them good wines…

http://chateaubuffalo.com for $5 you get to taste 5 wines and learn what you like. me, tom, and spence went there a couple of weekends ago. they only sell new york wines and they are the only licensed winery in erie county which is pretty cool.

bump, yummm rosenblum nc zin is excellent…

Dr. K is good in the riesling dept. they also have made a good pinot noir and cab franc. Ch. Laf Renau makes an outstanding reserve cabernet sauvignon and Lamaroux landing’s merlot is better than most $20 california mass produced merlots. Believe me, i am not sticking up for NY wines but just making a point that there are some good ones out there, not just sweet wines either. Personally, i love good australian shiraz like Connor Park and Kaesler and wines from the southern Rhone especially Chateuneuf-Du-Pape and Gigondas. And yes, Yellow Tail and Barefoot do suck.
