I love the new STI in rally prep… its so strange how much hotter it is like that.
I also sat in one at the auto show… VERY nice feel to it.
I actally hate them…reminds me of a ford focus…thye should go back the 1998…best looking then imo…the 05 was not bad either though…i dunno the new one seems to have lost its look!
um, where is the coupe? Why is everything going hatch? The older STI (coupe) looks way better imo.

I think they look like shit, but I’ve yet to see one in person. I’ve seen a regular WRX in person, and the shit comment still stands. New Evo looks amazing in person though, I even like the look of the base Lancers.
I heard mitsu has shitty warranty though.

has anyone had a chance to drive one yet? i’d be interested to hear how the rear end feels. i’ve heard that this wagon style was meant more for rear rigidity than anything (and apparently requested by the wrc team to design). sometimes these style of cars come with a stamped center channel welded onto the body between the rear strut towers to effectively sort of act like a strut bar. i wonder if stock to stock, the new gen feels stiffer at back compared to the pignose and other older gens.
yea i dig it also… i’ve seen quite a few at the subaru meets and stuff (yes. im a traitor but im coming back i promise)
like dustin said, the interior feels really good and overall build quality seems to be really high - at least from a first impression. everyone that has one loves it.
yes, they are slightly slower than the old car in 9 out of 10 comparisons but it doesn’t matter - they didn’t promise it would be faster, its a new chassis and a new car.
