Anyone else getting bad gas mileage lately?

For the past 6-8 weeks I’ve been getting around 10-20% worse gas mileage in all three of my vehicles.

I drive to Cleveland a lot for work and I usually get 36-38 in my Civic. In the summer I can get close to 40 if I drive 70. The best I have gotten in this car has been 32, and that was driving 68-70mph the whole way. Dry, clean roads and the temp has been warm lately.

My wife’s CR-V usually gets 28-29, and that is also down about 20%, getting 23-25 now. Drove it to Rochester and back this weekend and barely got 25 all highway driving. Also my Grand Cherokee has gone from 17 to 14.

Tire pressure is good, and all the cars are maintained properly. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed a big difference in their car.

all I do is put gas in my daily driver. its an 05 fullsize chevy with the 4.8. I havent really nocited much of a drop lately, but I run from stations who dont use ethanol (in my daily, I perfer sonoco for pump gas in my hot rods)

I have been getting 14-15 from 17-18 running diesel.

My MPG’s have slowly been going up…

Its not a widespread issue with fuel or something like that.

i dont look at the prie or amount of gallons i use because all my cars suck ass on gas, so i dont pay attention, it makes me feel better.

Actually, my last 2 tanks have been down about 10-20% now that I think about it.

My car has a bad 02 sensor so I can’t really give an accurate answer. My girlfriend has said that she’s been getting bad mileage in her avenger but I can’t confirm nor deny.

Last fill being Mar 15th… Looks alright to me. Dip on the 2nd last tank was from lots of traffic.

RoadTrip. Theres a free version with basic functionality, this one is a few bucks.

Good for keeping track of oil changes and whatnot, MPG graphs are always neat.

Check your tire pressures? Maybe lost some psi with the constantly changing weather patterns but who knows.

I was getting 18/19ish in the fall and have been averaging 15.7 the last 2 months, running fine , no SES, tire pressure is fine…

I am lately. Winter blend gone bad perhaps. Bottom of the barrel blend? LOL.

It has been +3mpg in my diesel from two months ago.
