Anyone ever have this happen to them...

So, I’m checking over my debit card charges today, and I see one from my doc’s office for $25. Normal. That’s my copay. Then right underneath, I see one for $15.02 also from my doc’s office. Okay? WTF?
Call them up, they said no way, we did not do that, everything balanced out right at the end of our day. So the woman in billing there calls their company they get the credit card machine through and have them check the charges, nope. Nothing for $15.02 for any patient that day.
So I call up the bank, of course they tell me that I have to file a police report, file a dispute with them, and that they will investigate it and refund the fraudulent charges. Okay. Whatever. PITA but definitely need to get that straight.
The thing I don’t get is, how is there no way (a tracking number, etc) to compare the two charges, and see if they came from the same place? I don’t exactly know how that works on the back end of things, but that just doesn’t seem to make any sense to me…

Seems like you somehow manage to get screwed no matter what you do. Shitty.

Uhh, thanks Paul?

Well Im just saying youve got bad luck with stuff lately. First the insurance/accident and now whatever problem you went to the doctor for/this charge.

This can be fixed fairly easily, but it was just weird to me that they can’t track where a charge came from somehow…

Well thats good then.
