On my 180sx most of the rubber bushings are worn or cracked, so i was thinking it would be good to replace them. Just wondering if anyone has ever purchased or installed a set of these and if they work good. And how easy are they to install. can i do it myself with basic hand tools? Just trying to get my suspension to feel as close to stock as i can for as cheap as i can.
thanks
i’ve bought them after reading some reviews on them, heard nothing but good things about them. . .have yet to install them though. Lots of guys here that go to the track have done this to their cars. . .gets rid of the sloppiness in the suspension . . .
there’s a few detailed write ups on the internets. . .google it . . .
I put a set in my 1st 240, wasn’t to hard execpt for the rear arms… but defenetly worth the money…
It is more time consuming than difficult. I found it to be a worth while upgrade though.
I did all mine, all you need is a drill, a reciprocating saw and a vise or press. they are easy to do just time consuming…
I did it and they are awesome. defiantly time consuming tho.
so when you say time consuming do you mean 2hours or 8hours for someone with the tools and a good amount of car knowledge?
Id say a good 3 to 5 hours depending on your tool selection and experience in bushing removal
Yeah I bought a master set and threw them in my 180SX. It went in in stages, first for the TC rods cause the bushings in them were shot from the day I owned the car… I’m very happy with the bushings and my suspension is nice and tight now. After seeing how mangled the old bushings were like, I’m glad I replaced them.
