my plug for my 7500 is busted…so i was going to just use the connector off the plug and hardwire it into the car…anyone know which color wire is which? any help is appreciated…

Is it a square-ish plug, like a usb b size? Or a round 3-5mm plug? There must be a pinout of a generic one somewhere, its only pos and neg right?
its a 4 wire one that looks like a telephone wire/plug
Take a look at the plug ends. The one on the far left is the Passport’s original RJ11 plug. The telephone cord has one end that matches (on the far right) and one that doesn’t (in the middle). Cut off the end that doesn’t match (middle) and keep the one that matches
If I remember correctly, Red is power, and Green is ground.
spend the 15 bucks for the hard wire cord. red = positive, black = ground. done.
i was simply asking if anyone knows which color was power and which was ground…thats all…i already have another radar hardwired in…was just going to switch the plugs so i could use the passport instead of the shitty whistler…lol
Red = 12v
Green = Ground
