Anyone good at Wii hacking?

I have a friend who had Homebrew installed on her Wii. She ended up formatting the system to get rid of homebrew so she could update her firmware and play some of the new games, and she seems to have semi-bricked it in the process. Anyone here good at fixing semi-bricked wii’s?

so why not just try those steps out yourself??
it really doesnt seem that hard. just downloading files and such.
