MY GF was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday night. Initially it was for Pancreatitis but she is also having a flair up of her Crohn’s disease, now that her pancreas is better. Its getting kinda bad and we’re both a bit concerned. None of the meds are helping and just recently there has been a good bit of bleeding. It looks like she’ll be needing surgery to get this under control. I was wondering if anyone one else has been through this and can provide some advice. All tips are greatly appreciated.
I haven’t been through it, but there are one or two people I know who have. One had a surgery which ultimately made things better, but in-line surgeries and medicine did not do a thing.
I wish I could be more insightful, but all I can say is I am sorry and I hope it gets better

One of my gf’s good friends has it. She was diagnosed with it over the summer.

My uncle had it and the medicine he was on had a one in a million chance of developing lymphoma, which he did and and died at the age of 34. The best way she can control it is to eat a healthy whole foods diet. Avoid processed foods as best she can and alcohol. Things that will irritate the intestine are no good. Probiotics and prebiotics help. Slowly and completely chewing her food to make less work for the intestines.
friend just was in the hospital for complications and possible tumor, ER on Xmas eve with emergency surgery and bleeding, it’s not fun. best wishes to her.
