I am thinking about getting an 11# one or maybe even the 6#

After researching it they sound like they work well unless your running alot of stereo shit (in which case I wouldnt think weight would be an issue)

braille’s are suppose to be good

my battery + tray setup weighs 13 lbs… be careful in winter though, either take it out or keep it on a battery tender.

works freaking fantastic and saves a LOT of weight. just dont sit in your car with the radio on, it will kill it fast

i want to say neonglh just picked one up. maybe for his evo… i don’t know.

i’ll let him respond if he feels so inclined.

looks good man, yeah I would take it out in the winter and my radio is hardly ever on because I cant hear it over the car lol

I have a PC680 and its fine when its over 30-40out. Got it form batterymart.com for like $89 there something like $99 now. Last winter when I was SI after sitting a month I’d have to put a jumper box on it. Its was fine once it warm out and all year, even with the cam now. And when I was running a about 12.3:1 CR setup with big cam.

edit

damn $121… you can get them with a metal liner to if you if its gona be near heat. The PN has a addition on the end for the metal liner model.
Odyssey PC680MJ $138.11

heres mine

I think innovative has them in stock

IIRC Innovative carries lightweight batteries if you want to go local.

thanks for the info!
did you just lay the battery on its side and use the stock mounting location and tray to mount it?

PC680 here also. Stock location, made a small aluminum bracket to hold it down. Way easier to pass tech inspection, than having a sealed box in the trunk.

No problem,
I kinda passed the NMCA guys, Their the real deal. I’m making a simple alum strap this winter, thats better. But that pic is hows its been for 2 years, all stock tray stuff.

Battery prices have increased20% everywhere fucking lead. They have a life span of a year. Good battery though

My old setup…

Go to car quest and buy a Deka battery, they are the ones that make the braille batteries. the ex14 is the smaller one and I had the ex20 the “all season lightweight” it weighs about 15lbs.

here was my ex20 installed:

the ex20 is a bit bigger, so watch the battery tray sizes if you buy one.
