Attention to detail is EVERYTHING in this hobby

Honestly I would try converting to OBDII as GM OBDII computers are very flexible. I found little info on your car probably cause they are so rare and getting old. 60degreeV6.com may have some info. If it were me and you were looking to make alot of power and keep it on an original theme I would swap a 01+ 3100 or 3400 in with OBDII electronics and GTP 2bar MAP. The newer 3500 V6 heads are said to flow much better and the lower intake will make for an improvement as well. Otherwise a L67 or L32 Supercharged V6 would be a great swap You can remove the blower and go turbo and there is great aftermarket for the 3800s. Other than that you would need a standalone which can be acheived on your car cause the stock trans is not computer controled. Megasquirt is cheap and very adaptable but you would be starting from scratch with NO tune. Can be very stressful as you will have to make a new harness or cut into your existing one to inetgrate the new EMS into your sensors and actuators. DIYautotune.comIf you wish to pick my brain on this subject just PM me and be sure to search related forums for information and ideas.

someone actually knows what im talking about… I have 01 3400 heads /intakes with 30 lb injectors/ stock 2 bar. it is very tunable , just wondering if anyone locally was in the same ally. The only reason i would switch obd2 is if i wanted a 4t60e/65e or i could use a FAST standalone controller… For what i need the motor to do, obd1 has been proved to work… low 13 ets have been achieved with my exact setup tuned on fairly low boost levels. i appreciate the ideas, megasquirt would work on anything… dont have any experience with it but might try it with a future project.

what turbo are you using right now? just curious… Low 13s, sounds like there is room for improvement.

its a garrett .62 t28 flange, 70mm compressor wheel= the reason i say 13s… need to upgrade to BB but i dont care right now i just want to tune it and see what it does. When i get my labtop back ill be all set… i shouldnt even be driving it right now.
