Anyone interested in personal diet/fitness programs?

Gonna take a stab at this…

  1. I think that the total amount of WORK is the key, so even if you become more fit, you still burn the same amount of calories, assuming all other conditions are equal (length of workout, incline, etc). Yes your HR is lower because you are FITTER but that’s because your heart is now in better shape and can circulate more blood and O2 at lower rates. Still doing the same amount of work though.

  2. This is probably related to 1), but you might start sweating later as your body doesn’t need to be cooled off as much to do the same work since it’s more efficient. Again, this is assuming similar gym temperature, etc… Probably a small difference, I imagine it’d take a lot better circulation to get a big different in delta T.
