Anyone interview at Moog? GOT THE JOB! Post 59

ooo my friend Claire is going to be interning there this summer. She’s nice lady.

my dad works there for 20 some plus years now and yea my cousin jay worked there for a bit, forever ago, haha

Seriously.
ALL of their questions begged for the star method.

Its a long day. They might even give you a test.
Enjoy that. It should be pretty easy as you are still in school.

Look up servovalve.com and KNOW HOW THEIR SHIT WORKS.
http://www.servovalve.com/technical.htm Get busy.

It might also help to know how to calculate the force required for a spool to shear a metal a metal chip of X size.

My Moog interview came before my praxair interview.
It made my prx interview a cake walk.
Took them a month to make an offer because they had to go through internal candidates
before they could hire an outsider.

very awesome. Thanks man.

Word. Treadmill engineer.

Yep. That’s why they wouldn’t even take my resume for an internship. Now among other things I manage all of their projects for a product line that accounts for >20% of their North American income. Fuckers. Determination > GPA.

That reminds me I really need to bring in an office decoration I never bothered hanging up here. I framed my letter of dismissal from the University Honors program my sophomore year. Fuck them too.

That explains the 20% loss this year…

Thanks.

lol 5 interviews sounds rough back to back… good luck, just remain personable and have stuff to talk about and you should survive

lol loss? Don’t you mean record profits but all the doom and gloom in the news makes it the perfect time for them to axe the profit sharing program?

Its not getting axed. All we need to do is perform substantially better than last year.
How hard could that be?

Well lets see. Minimum operating profit to get anything is $2.0666 billion for FY2009. 1Q 2009 operating profit was $0.4426 billion. Granted profit always ramps up from the beginning to the end of the year, but I won’t be too surprised if we don’t make it.

So… if we don’t make it… i’ll bet they still set the goal higher for 2010.
We need to be more pro-active.

I’d bet they just axe it. More money for shareholder dividends, and executive benefits.

Sounds right…
Does Moog do profit sharing?
I know their medical is great.

Sounds like you should just become an exec. problem solved.

solves pretty much everything right there

worst case you fail and kill yourself :roflpicard:

edit:
Do they even post exec jobs online?

One of the best teachers I had @ UB!!!

They do, my mom was getting 5 figure bonuses…Not this year though…
