well i recently acquired an 84 lesabre 4 door with 32k miles on the clock. the guy who had it was gonna junk it due to a bad oil leak.
now as far as i can tell the only thing it needs is valve cover gaskets. would parts stores carry shit for a car that old?
if anyone knows anything else about the origin or any info about this motor I’d be greatly interested. the car is in pretty good shape for the age, no rust on the body or frame.
the 4.1 is a bored out buick 3.8(231) but with a better crank
it’ll use the same shit as any other of the million 3.8/231 v6s
if its a factory 4v…the intake is worth more then the engine lol
so any local autoparts store would carry what you need
if you want performance parts
ta performance and postonbuick are good places
another thing.,…buicks love bigger carbs stock and also love port work
and i dont see whats any different to getting into as a DD then it would be for any other brand car…unless it was known to have probelsm…and that buick v6s are solid runners
well if you can get it cheap enought, the 4v intake goes for 125$ easy
i just sold one for 130 a couple months back…ust a stock 4.1 4v aluminum intake…
