anyone need a bodyman? or electronics tech?

or even tax assessing?

1996-1998- took Electronics Technician course at Red River College. specialize in PC building, stereo equipment, and LAN setup

1998-2000 - worked in the industry for Vansco Electronics

2000-2004- got a sweet job at the government of Canada reassessing taxes. i couldn’t turn it down (good pay), but eventually my department switched over to phones only work and only seasonal. not my cup of tea. i’m skilled in dealing with clients, writing letters using MS word, and T1 Income Tax.

2004-2005 - went back to Red River for the Level 1 autobody apprentice course. graduated with honours in June 2005. skills include welding, grinding, metal finishing, roughing out dents, filling, sanding, paint prep and paint application.

so far i’ve been working at Eastwood Dodge here in WPG, but the bodyshop’s been slow and i’ve been stuck washing cars. the environment sucks here too, being to hot and humid most of the day, having to drink 4 liters of water a day. then in the winter most of the cars die so i get stuck boosting them in -40C weather (experienced this during my work experience last jan). I’m looking for a better climate and a good place where i can learn and build my skills, not waste my time washing cars and cleaning cigarette butts around the dealership.

argh. that is soo disappointing that you are in winnipeg, i am in calgary, and have a 240 that needs body work, i have a post in nexopia asking for pretty much what you said you do… the thing has electrical problems as well.
But just out of curiosity, how much do you think it would cost total to have the rust fixed on the frame, it’s about 3-5" holes on either side… so i guess the real question would be, how many hours do you think it would take. feel free to email me or add me to your msn if you’d like.

Don’t expect the weather to be any kinder to you hear. Just on jobbank or calgaryjobship for body techs

so the frame is rusted, not the joining panels or both? if its just the frame rail, i’d estimate 3-6 hours for cutting, fabrication and welding in 3 new sections.

Matt - the weather is similar througout the winter, but winnipeg does get the more extreme climate. we have on average 3X the snow cover calgary gets. even in the summer it could get to +30 with 100% humidity sometimes.
