My garage had about 300 blocks stacked against it for a few months when we were building a wall in the back yard, causing the wall to bow in a little bit and on the inside the mortar came out. I’d say the distance of the corner plane to where the block pushed to on the outside surface is about 4-5" from as far as I can see.
I got a rough look at about 120 cinder blocks needing to be laid again. Most of the block looks like they can be re-used just knocking off the mortar.
Just wanted to get a rough estimate on how much it would be to dig out the dirt beside the garage (About 4 ft deepx8 ft wide to the streetx15 ft along the garage) and I guess support the roof, knock out the old block and re-stack it?
I can probably do it myself with the help of some friends for labor, but my brick laying skills are minimal as I’ve only done it a couple of times. I’m weighing whether it might be worth it to just have someone do it and fork some money over.
