fits perfect too and i used factory cross member for s13 and no other mounts it fits about 1/2 " from firewall and low enough ffor hood to close with abit of room and lots of room in front
and best of all no cutting

Waiting for a clean S13 chassis…

man, you got a while to wait… and the unfortunate part is, the longer you wait, the less clean s13 chassis are left

True. words to live by.

the way i see it, if you just keep buying them eventually you will get a good one…lol

if you dont want to look anymore then bring one up from the US…

Yup go to Autotrader usa and search in the south

well mostly everyone that has an s13 drive in the winter.
Slowly son members are rotting away there own flesh and blood

No doubt, Pavel. I haven’t seen one good S13 on the Autotrader here. I was even considering another car donor body. But there isn’t much out there. I just want a cheap enough body that is capable of holding that engine. I might have to look further south for one, but i don’t want to deal with the paperwork and such.

Besides i have a bit of time before i can concentrate on my project. Hopefully a few more clean cars will show up in the trader by then. :?

Jamie (WOODROW) down here in K town probably has one of the cleanest S13’s in Ontario. Ive looked the car over up and down and not a spot of rust or rot anywhere.

why dont you look into something overseas thats already swapped?

Check B.C. area and around there before you get a car from the states, from what I know, it is quite the hassle.

Overpriced. The Silvias, and Skylines that are being imported here are priced way too high for 15 year old cars. It’s still cheaper to get a nice chassis and do the swap yourself. I considered that option already.

You can get silvia k’s (CA18DET) as cheep as 7000CDN in good shape fully imported, if you can add your car to a container and save on shipping.

But it is cheeper if you want an SR motor to buy a local car and swap. The cars in Japan that already have an SR swap are considerably more expensive then ones that have there stock turbo charged engine.

How much to get just a chassis? If that is possible. No engine or anything, just a clean body.

i remember seeing in an issue of SCC from 2002, they had a kouki s14 with and RB26DETT swapped for 15g’s U.S.

that motor alone would run you close to 10g’s, + the s14.

i dunno, i’ve seen some posted deals in japan, but haven’t searched recently

iirc that car was for sale in Japan though wasn’t it?

Just a chassis would be really cheep, like I could probably find an automatic silvia Q or J with a messed engine for like 400 and up CDN, then shipping tax’s and our service fee.

So Ro-Ro would be like 4500CDN, and if you could wait to be added to a container you would pay: 3600CDN as a base price.

yes, the car was in japan, but u can ship that over and not worry about installing the motor and stuff. the name of the shop is GT Net, located in the province of murokawa. it still may work out cheaper in the long run, i would imagine.
