My S3 lasts 8 hours or so on LTE. This is near constant use streaming Netflix, web browsing or playing games.
I hear the opposite from an iphone user. He has a 3gs i think though. Either way, I streamed Pandora on my gnex for many hours at the beach a few weeks ago over some speakers. He mentioned that he was surprised my phone wasn’t dead and that his probably would have died a lot quicker. Idunno. Everyone has a different story. I do just fine with battery life. I do have a USB cable plugged into my computer at work to re-charge periodically as well as a car charger for my 30 minutes commute (during which I stream pandora).
This isn’t true anymore, I can pull a day out of my Verizon Nexus with 4g. They tweaked the radio switching logic.
Edit: I hate how my phone says I am at 50% and it actually still has 75% battery left. My phone “loses” the first 50% of its battery WAY faster than the second 50%.
8 hours in my opinion sucks. I have my phone screen on 80% of my day and get emails, texts, and push notifications so it gets used heavily. Today after moderate use, I am leaving work after 9 hours and am at 67% battery. I was streaming XM on it for about 3 hours today and My android phone that was “4G” (not LTE) would be about 20% by now. Hopefully its fixed if apple does go LTE on another phone. It sucks to go to a meeting after work and have my phone dead by 8PM no matter what phone it was. Up to a year ago, the 4 had the best. I will like to see the 5 when it comes out and hopefully its the same or better.
^^ Must be the best phone then
3 days, 8 hours and still at 20% camping this holiday weekend before I plugged it in, few short calls, casually checking texts, emails, and voicemail. Usage definitely less than normal. Full push email for 2 accounts, one gmail, one lotus notes, 4g On, Gps on, and a lil Google Skymaps action staring at the stars. Yeah, 4g is totally fucking gay.
4G or 4G LTE? What phone?
Never know how this will be real-world, but: http://www.droid-life.com/2012/09/05/motorola-and-verizon-announce-the-droid-razr-hd-razr-hd-maxx-and-razr-m/#more-81612
“The MAXX HD will give you 13 hours of continuous video playback, 21 hours of talk time, and web browsing for up to 8 hours.”
that is pretty amazing numbers.
Those are pretty amazing numbers.
Google Now is pretty badass…
Rooted RAZR MAXX
lol
Lol, only 95% of Apple users are like this.
I love that everyone in that video is programming on their Apples.
The funny part is this guy is a major Apple fan boy. He was a speaker at their Mac World conferences.
Now HTC is going to sue Apple?
Do they have a case?
Sounds like HTC has a good case, and a product ban could happen.
I seriously doubt they get anywhere. This is more a PR move than anything else.
See Motorola v. Apple and how FRAND works.
We’ll see. Admittedly, I don’t know a whole lot about this stuff. However, Apple got the Galaxy Nexus pulled from the Google Play site until google fixed some shit (actually they pulled functionality). I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility for Apple to get a device pulled temporarily while a deal is worked out.
That would be awesome.
