Shitty he lied to you, but again, it’s all about tactics. You confront someone who’s guilty and watch for the signs of lying. Shifting eyes, stuttering etc etc. You keep accusing them and see if the details of their explaination of how they’re not guilty change.
Yeah, it sucks if you’re innocent being treated that way but at 2am you use that tactic on someone under 25 because you know the odds are in your favor that they’ve been drinking. Respond to a few DWI fatalities and notify a parent their kid isn’t coming home a few times and you’re probably not going to feel too bad “harrassing” some kid for 10 minutes. A smart cop probably would have let you go as soon as you asked for the breathalyzer though. Unless he had reason to believe you were so drunk that you might do something stupid like that your tactic should have effectively called his bluff. Could be he was just a small penis prick who was mad you called his bluff though too.
Its his tactic to lie, but use the same tactic back, and the cops get a little annoyed. You gotta tell the truth, but they can lie lie threw thier teeth. Gets the coppers alot of respect, and they wonder why most people hate em.
