Damn I miss paintball… there is just nowhere worth a fuck to play at anymore. Even the outdoor summer places that were absolutely amazing about 5-6 years ago… all got shut down by the cops because of dumbass, ignorant neighboors.
Still have all my shit though, and still have my baby;
Dust Finish Black-Red Fade CNC X-Mag
And for those who dont know what an X-Mag is, no…its not like any other 'mag you have ever seen.
^Those are getting exceedingly rare. I used to have an original e-mag version 1.0. Morlocked it then sold it. Ive had multiple RT pro’s. I currently have a custom RetroRT with the original stainless steel valves in which I mirror polished the internals. The thing goes reactive at 700 psi. If I crank the input pressure up to 900 It will spit out 24 BPS all day.
I would like to get my hands on one of the newest angels to play with, but I cant justify the cost seeing as I dont play virtually at all anymore. I have had an original, 2001 LCD, Dark, IR3 and Fly… but never liked any of them as much as the X. Maybe one of the newest would change my mind… but I doubt it.
Yeah, I think I will be holding onto this one. Its hard to believe that the gun is almost 3 years old, and still worth as much as the day I bought it. Its also a rare color combo (in dust) and the 5th to last one built.
I also had an original RT, back when they first hit the shelves. LOL, I remember those days… a reactive mechanical marker that could hit 24 BPS, BEFORE LVL10, and only a revvie to feed it! BLENDER TIME! My X in mechanical mode w/lvl10 and a force-feed hopper is fine though… if only those were out when the RT hit the market, things may have gone differently.
I played for a bunch of teams a couple years ago, mostly playing front. I’ll be getting back into it sometime in the future. The guns these days are ridiculous, and all sorts of ramping is allowed at tournaments now I hear.
