no clue, and if they were, it wouldn’t have an effect as far as “throwing someone back”. A HP will create larger wound channels compared to ball ammo and likely stop part way into a target, instead of punching through.
If you were to talk about a rifle round, such as a .223, which is traveling 2-3 times faster than your common pistol round… at close range, the bullet will travel right through tissue, creating a large wound channel but not exactly have “stopping” power. For example, if someone is running at you full speed, and you dump 5 rounds of .223 into the torso of that person, chances are, he/she will reach you and attack you.
on the contrary, if you were carrying a .45 with JHP, and unloaded 5 rounds to the mid section or pelvis area (basically incapacitating the delivery system), chances are, their forward momentum will be stopped before they reach you…as the stopping power is much greater.
Yes, correct. Although the general public views HP ammo as people killers… it’s carried because of what you said.
and secondly, fuck yes to the shotgun on raids, coming in second would be a UMP40 for the size and stopping power, IMHO way better than an M4 in CQB.

Exactly, just like the gun buybacks have saved lives. What annoys me is the people saying things like"even if it saves one life" then the laws should change. How is that democratic? The exact same people call for full term abortions, somewhere along there all logic and reason is thrown out of the window.
More people die from heart disease every year. There is a concensus that a big contributor of heart disease is red meat. Wouldn’t it make sense then to ban or regulate all these steak-eaters? The thing is, it is a perfect comparison because far more people are likely to die from that than for “one life” to be effected by a shooting. Better yet , we should start giving out diet tickets through the use of diet police, because if we can save 2 lives, we should burden everybody with it.

Not really wrong, but its a good idea to get a better understanding of more modern information presented by the guy that has to repair the damage. Not to mention he is one of the best in his field and has more quality training than most Leo teams.
