Like title says, anybody know if they make ARP head studs for the single cam KA? The ones for the DE are around the same price as bolts/washers from NAPA. I’d prefer buying something stronger for my turbo buildup and something that can be reused, unlike bolts.
Anybody tried the DE ones on the E before? Why is it said they can’t be used? Shorter? Longer?
Any other options than OEM style bolts and washers?
i really have no idea. but if the bottom ends are the same for a de and an e. as long as the head has no recess in it. the studs would work fine.
place them side by side (stud to bolt)
Yeah i checked the difference last weekend. The DOHC bolts are a tad shorter than the SOHC ones. So my guess is that the ARP studs for the DE wouldn’t clear all the way to the top of the SOHC head.
Oh well…
Althought i’ve seen AMS performance have some for the SOHC in their “advanced rebuild kit”.
