I dunno, I never see the big deal with it :gotme: People ask me all the time what i paid for mine, not like its some big secret, if you really wanted to find out you could just look around online.
People ask me if I paid money for my car, does that count. Personally though I don’t think it’s that big of a deal.

Also I do not get offended when someone asks, usually it is because they are just curious because not all things are accessible to alot of people. I think I take each situation individually. If someone shady is asking I just tell them that I would rather not discuss it but if say a fellow supra owner was asking and I was in a conversation I wouldn’t hesitate as then it is pretty neutral ground. However I can understand your point of view, sometimes people are just gold diggers or just looking to get an idea of what your financial situation is for the wrong reasons. To each his own
I find it rude to ask how much somebody’s house is worth, but I’ve been told that is old fashioned. I just think it’s respectful. A car? If it’s brand new then I don’t see a huge problem (you can easily estimate withing a few thousand). If it’s used, then I can see a problem.
depends how they ask it haha if they are implying that you overpaid, then hell yea its annoying. but if they are genuinely curious because they like the car then i don’t have a problem with it at all
Yeah it gets annoying. I told some kids once; “Listen guys, no offense but I don’t even know you so I’m not about to talk about my money with you.”
What’s worse is people who ask; “So how much you want for it?”
i dont care so much when people ask how much i have into my car… ill just give a gues-timate cuz its not like i actually keep track of every thing i buy on a sheet n tally it up often.
but it does bug me when people are like “YO how much would u wanna sell your car for” when they kno pretty much nothing about it and i havent told them i wanna sell it. Sure if the price was right id let it go but dont put me on the spot n have a price ready for you then n there

I agree, it depends on how the question is asked, like Jay said, if they are implying that you got the bone, they can jump on a sharp stick…
if the price question comes up after they ask about the car and the work that went into it, i don’t mind. it just gets annoying when people try to guess first or just assume that you got ripped off.
I love it when people ask to buy something right off you. Especially clothes. How lame is that?
If they ever ask for the car, I usually tell them they can have it for some inflated ass price. 
I think the worst questions were the ones asking HOW I can afford such a car and then making comments about mommy and daddy. THAT pisses me off.
Like it was said before, if the context of the question is inline, then it’s ok i guess…but if you dont know the person…meh.

i guess that would get annoying after a while. but i think it would kinda cool when someone actually knows something about the car to realize how rare it is and ask. kinda makes me feel like a sellout buying an E36 knowing the E30s are really my true love.
I guess its not a problem if someone came up to me and asked what a car like mine might sell for, I would have no problem telling them. Asking straight up what you paid is stupid. The people that ask a question like that are usually annoying anyways though.

umm thats what they are basicly asking. How much they go for. You drive a rather rare import that has been hyped like hell because of F&F and is only 2nd 2 a skyline in OMG!!! factor (for most people, i dont want to hear about someother rare cool car). Dont buy a car that gets looks and questions if you cant take it.
