ATS-V

I don’t think the color and lighting does the car justice. In these photos the car looks more aggressive from the side and rear.

I do like the way it looks, don’t get me wrong but I do understand how maybe they could have gone a little further. I’m excited about the car, I really hope they build a grand national but make it look better/slightly retro(80’s), twin turbo 6!

Just to give you guys a heads up on how underrated this motor is from the factory…I am bone stock with a tune. Total drivers race between me and a bolt-on last gen CTS-V…looks like the motor is rated 25hp higher in the ATS-V too, mine was listed at 425 in the Vsport

Not even remotely close.

67 horse and 90 ft/lbs on a tune

I can’t wait for one of these to make it into the Ambassador Program.

I saw this ATS-V.R being built when I was walking through pratt and miller last year

yeah this is prety much how i feel. the stereo in my SRX (company car - 2010) is pretty good though

to some extent no cars are pure direct competitors. Even the peer to peer Audi, BMW, Merc have their nuances to set one apart from the other. Caddy V-cars are the same way and they have their niche but that niche is not as a full on performance / quality substitute to a M, RS, AMG. They don’t really have to be though. The Corvette Z06 carves out it’s own spot quite nicely as well.

Pricing starts at $61,460 for the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V sedan (*plus tax, title, license, dealer fees and any optional equipment). Go for the sleeker (but less practical) coupe and you’ll be looking at $63,660 (with the same conditions).

For all that scratch, you’ll be looking at a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 driving 455 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque through a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission, for a 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 189 miles per hour. The ATS-V also features Brembo brakes, magnetorheological dampers, launch control and rev-matching with no-lift shifting.

Clearly going after the M3 and M4 at $62k and $64k and 425 hp and the same 0-60 time. My guess the Caddy has a couple more options standard but I was still anticipating a larger gap.
Edit: like leather vs cloth

do cadillacs end up having similar incentives as the regular GM product???

Similar for Cadillac is probably accurate. But they probably won’t be throwing $10k on V product, if that is what you are asking.

New Era is doing it again…

11.5 tune only with a 2.02 60’

Not bad at all!

Awesome I was thinking about one of these when I replaced the Infinti

That’s not bad at all, new m3/4 record is 11.1 at 127 on race gas

what was done to the m3 exactly? A buddy was telling me they were trapping mid 130s…

stock turbo high trap is 127/128ish

tpg tuning just ran a 10.7 @132 with aftermarket turbo’s

They are super sweet, I’m trying had to decide on what our next fun toy will be. Might be a rental house but that isn’t any fun.

I’m sure the ATS-V with race fuel or E85 will be able to run sub 10s 1/4. Heck if they got that 2.02 60’ down it should beat the M3. There is a lot of room to grow with these if you want to put on larger turbos as well.

they both seem very potent, stock for stock with a tune they are both trapping mid 120’s in the heat, cant wait to see what they do when it starts cooling down a little bit

Amazing!

That’s impressive
