i rather run in turbo 4 then. look at alot of the dudes who run that class-- consistency would be key i think. as alot of slower cars knock off quicker cars by cutting the tree. Plus those fast guys sure do break alot.

if i were to run street class, i would end up putting on some sort of auto-x tire then. as those bfg’s suck. their has to be somehting better than that.

and as for 24.5x8x13 being small-- i know of a good number of cars in 9’s/10’s on them, cant be that small. Gotta rememebr, my shit is a good decade older than ur shit. ur rotors are bigger than our oem wheels.

sailor not to be a dick but most of the top turbo 4 guys never break on top of the fact brian ballard will be in a factory sponsored car in that class. Turbo 4 is a full interior race car that passes inspection really. and most of the faster cars have good ass drivers you aren’t goin to beat on the tree on top of the fact if you are running against a car that goes 9.5 you are goin to have to tree them by a full second if you go 10.5(pretty close to the mid pack cars)

BFG’s with 12psi hook up awesome. I have seen FWD cars pull 1.8 60fts on them with a good driver.

I am not talking about wheel size I am talking how tall they are. I believe you can run a 26" tall tire in that class so you are goin to get more use of gearing and better hook up off the line. I could be wrong about that but I know for a fact 25" tall slicks are allowed in that class

either way NDRA has a few races close enough for a weekend(one at MIR and one at norwalk) so 8.1crew you feel like a weekend of import with your trailor on hand for emergencies :x:

sam, ur right… i was thinking wrong sanction league… it is hard to keep track of classes between nopi, nhra, ndra, and all the other off shoot leagues.

class im thinking off, 11’s on slicks gets u in dance, 10.5’s is competitve w/ good tree, and 10.0 is around winning times. I know supras run in it, as lugnuts treed the fuck out fo them w/ slower car to win. not a pro class, more of a pro-am. might be nopi??? gotta do more research. it is whatever league the vw friends run in.

NOPI changed there sanctioning name. Nopi= NDRA(nopi drag racing association) and those are the rules I posted above. there are 4 sanctioning bodies for us right now.(NHRA, NDRA, IDRC, and BOTI)

BOTI has very little around here(mostly west coast) BOTI is battle of the imports and I think they have one event at maple grove this year.

IDRC(import drag racing championship) is what kolar and brian ran last year. and they have very few classes that you can run(pro am FWD is about it of the true street class that brian ran)

NHRA is alot like NDRA except they don’t have a competitive street tire class and they do have minimum weights in their classes. also I think the closest NHRA race is in jersey this year.

NDRA is pretty much the best series IMO. they have a lot of classes from bracket to heads up and good payouts for everyone. also they have bracket classes for cars that don’t fall under the rules(air cooled VW’s and for example and mazda rotary in a toyota corolla) on top of the better payouts they have 6 races within 12 hours of us and 4 that are pretty close(norwalk, MIR, Etown and atco) they also have one at bristol Tn. and VMP(virginia). I will copy and paste the schedule up and try to get the rules for NHRA, IDRC and BOTI up today.

word, i’ll read into it. whatever league i can run m&h dots and be legal, or run full blown slick in a am class and be competitve is worth going to.

none so don’t waste your time reading. either run BFG’s and be close or run slicks and turn 10.2’s or better to be in the money
