Attn: Bush Sackriders

isn’t everything pointless?

you should choose your allies based on ideals… and neither major party has any.

political affiliation is not an ally

how isn’t it? you ally yourself with a party. you do what you can to get members of that party in power, and ideally they reciprocate with reforms that benifit you.

3: become an ally or associate, as by a treaty or marriage; “He allied himself with the Communists” (wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn)

so the dictionary and i are wrong.

anything can be used to prove a point of view

1 a : of or relating to government, a government, or the conduct of government b : of, relating to, or concerned with the making as distinguished from the administration of governmental
2 : of, relating to, involving, or involved in politics and especially party politics
3 : organized in governmental terms <political units>
4 : involving or charged or concerned with acts against a government or a political system <political prisoners>

1 a : to bring or receive into close connection as a member or branch b : to associate as a member <affiliates herself with the local club>
2 : to trace the origin of
intransitive senses : to connect or associate oneself

use three sporks and a can of sardines to explain Maoist Communism.

ok…go:

and you just proved my point about the word ally being the right word…

ally can be used in sensable terms…

1 : to unite or form a connection between : ASSOCIATE <allied himself with a wealthy family by marriage>
2 : to connect or form a relation between (as by likeness or compatibility) : RELATE

you’re just one of those ‘liberal free thinkers’ that needs brought to reality… ?

what does this mean

i don’t see where were not agreeing.

example sentence: “Darkstar, being an adult male who fucks little boys, allied himself with NAMBLA.”

wouldn’t that be correct?

same fucking deal.

food for thought

“if you are part of the party you aren’t really an ally, you are part of it”

it’s an old russian proverb meaning roughly “Following a god will lead you nowhere.”

nerds!

i think you can look at it that way, but if your only involvement with the party is voting for its candidates, you’re not really part of the party. Howard Dean is part of the party.

communist propoganda

yeah. basically.

but their marketing was stylish.

:blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :jerkit:

it’s nice you have common styles :reloading

eh… the USSR was a fucking mess, but there were attributes of it that I find interesting.

enlighten me

idealists seized power from a pathetic interim government that had replaced an oppressive regime with the idea that every person would live well. it’s a shame that it devolved to a horrible totalitarian state almost immediately afterwards. a lot of the propaganda really isn’t all that different than ours from the same time period; theirs is just more aesthetically pleasing.
