Attn: Euro car owners. There's a new shop in town. Details inside...

First off, I know there’s a few of you on here who already know me, and I feel obliged to thank you folks first, as it’s been your patronage that’s convinced me to take the plunge and open up a proper place.

Now, for those who don’t, here’s a bit of useful information.
I’ve been working on cars for most of my life, starting with a World of Outlaw Sprint car back in 1982 (yes, I was 12). Through the years I worked on specializing more and more, and it’s all culminating now. Black Forest Motorsport specializes in later-model European and Exotic automobile repair, service and upgrades.

We already have a decent amount of diagnostic equipment, but as folks in the business know, diagnostic equipment purchases are never-ending. The shop will initially be equipped with 3 2-post lifts, tire mounting and balancing machines that can handle most large low-profile tires without touching the rim, and a host of other typical shop appliances. We are also a New York State registered repair and inspection shop. I should have the inspection equipment within the first few weeks of opening.

At any given time when you walk in, you may find a couple of 2.7 turbo Audis in the shop, while other times, you may see a Lambo, Ferrari, Lotus or Maserati. Also, during the Winter, starting sometime in December, we’re going to be bulding an 800hp Ultima GTR for a customer of mine. Should be able to easily dispatch just about anything within 150 mile radius that’s street-legal.

The rest of the important details:
Opening date
Monday October 1st
Location:
4585 Genesee St
Cheektowaga, NY 14225

$120/hr for Exotic (Lamborghini, Ferrari, Lotus, Maserati, etc.)

Right this second, I don’t have a phone number for the land line, as I won’t have it for a couple of weeks

Hope to see at least a few of you folks there over the coming months.

I’m planning on having an open house/bbq thing at some point in October, and will announce it on this forum when I have the dates nailed down.

Thanks!

800 hp and 2200 pounds should be good for mid to high 9’s and that’s pretty quick.

Thanks, and yeah, I know. And to be honest, there’s probably other “street legal” cars out there that are quicker in a straight line, but none are likely to be as well-rounded as this one should be (stopping, turning, etc.)

I’ve been around fast cars long enough to know that there’s always something faster/quicker.

Yeah, Ultima’s demo car just cracked a 9.90 and that’s with a 740hp setup. I’m hoping that my customer will allow some instrumented runs after it’s complete (meaning a few trips down at NYI)

thats cool, i was just wondering is all.

sounds like a nice place for people that cant seem to find a repair shop for they’re exotics.

G/L man

Best of luck with the venture - I’m looking forward to seeing more pics of the shop and the exotics within.

why more $$ for exotics? not bitching, just curious…

probably just more tedious to work on I assume

Supply and demand is some of it. Made in Italy by people who are more concerned about styling than accessibility is another part of it. Plus, making up new swear words costs a lot of brainpower, and I charge for that.
