werd… i know for a fact that the earths climate has not change the slightest since it was formed. :bloated:

go hug a tree you hippies

ohhh noosss. its getting warmer, oh crap?!?!!? its going to get colder?!?!?! aagghhhh some day humans are going to die off and life will start again?!??!1 quick call the dems, they will take care of you

Admins have tshirthell blocked through novell.

well, 1 its warmer than the last time. and 2 the rate at which it increased is much more

and 3 that chart looks very shady and misleading.

i disagree i think that the graph is fairly good and proves a point!

Look at the straight vertical line at the end of your graph that is nearly obscured…

here’s a better series of graphs: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/warming/etc/graphs.html

I learned in 4th grade that slightly skewing the x or y-axis increments on a graph can do wonders. Another good way to do it is to make it look flashy, for example by putting a nice background on it. There, and I cited my source also, instead of a few letters in the bottom right of the graph.

You are quite the idiot… that is all

  1. the previous graph shows one cycle.
  2. if you look at the end of the graph you can see that its increasing rapidly as oppose to the previous time where it was a nice gentle roll over.
  3. many more to come.

^^ Graph showing a 450,000 year record of carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in the earth’s atmosphere.

would like to see other graphs that reflect the same time period… but with the increase like that… kind of makes me think of Venus

Kind of another scary comment…

This runaway greenhouse effect, was not human caused obviously. The amount we are influencing the increase in greenhouse gases kind of makes me wonder how long it will take the earth to turn into the next venus

yea well it would take a long ass time for that to happen because the earth is getting warmer form sunlight and watervapor good luck changing my opinion!

Well how do you plan on controlling water vapor, when they both greenhouse gases.

the increase of water vapor in the atmosphere is a reaction coming from an increase of heat.

Carbon dioxide is an important greenhouse gas because of its ability to absorb many infrared wavelengths of the sun’s light (CO2 wiki

Carbon dioxide initially is starting the trend, and the increase in water vapor would come from the heat already produced… How hot do you think it has to be before Water Vapor is able to evaporate, go into the atmosphere, and start its own trend where more water vapor creates more heat, and more heat more water vapor and Oh fuck we’re the next venus.

I don’t know why, I argue about this shit…

no the plane will not take off the treadmill either.

Its Pop, not soda

Taco Bell is better than mighty Taco

and GO GEORGE W BUSH!!

now back to the original topic of the thread…

and god damn it i need to get running, I’m turning into a fat ass

and where the hell is Zong with my Pork Fried rice

^ There’s more graphs about climate change on that link I had. The venus stuff is interesting too, that’s something I’ve never heard about.

Not that Venus’ proximity to the sun has anything to do with its warmer climate.

But yeah, funny shirts >*

how about a link that goes back even farther

http://www.scotese.com/climate.htm

oh looky, its been hotter than it is now. we have less of an impact on shit then people like to think . the human race needs to get over itself

pssshhhht, al gore is nevAr wrong
