probably seen it. got it friday. car was from moon. after i picked it up, took it to work, then drove to ambridge to follow a customer who had 2 cars at my work, then to sq hill to get val so he could drive my civic home. so i drove the piss out of it on friday.
be honest, i drove the piss out of it today too.
i wish this was the 6.3L mercedes because i would definitely tow with it, yet it is the 4.5l v8. It has something like 200 hp and 350 tq via electronic fuel injection! the 6.3 had 300hp and something like 450tq. i dont know the exact hp/tq numbers google it im sure it will come up. i do know the 6.3 ran 14.2 in road and track article back in the 60’s in a 2 ton car.
car gets like 15mpg highway. i can deal w/ that, but not for my 130mile round trip daily. a/c still blows cold as hell. all the wood grain interior is solid, everything works. water pump has a seep from car sitting so long. easy fix.
im not going to do anything drastic to it. staying stock. maybe bag/hydraulics on it. that would be about it. bought the car to crusie and take to the drive in movies.
something about just driving an old car. it makes driving fun. not in a hurry to get anywhere because the drive is the event.
