COPIED FROM ANOTHER BOARD:
Its a Pool Management company out of Ocean City, MD. Called OC Pool Management.
I want something clean, but attractive that will look good on a business card/letterhead/website.
My extremely limited imagination came up with the O being a sun, the C being water, all overtop a nice little beach scene, but Im open to EVERYTHING.
If someone comes up with the logo I end up using, I’ll paypal them 50 bones.
GO!
put a palm tree and some water and the name and call it a day i would say.
i give a fuck what you think.
welcome to my ool… notice there is no P in pool. lets keep it that way.
thats the motto and im stickin to it. if i only had time to figure something out. (it would suck) so im just here to keep this at the top.

sit down, expand your mind, think of a better name…that is the worst name for a business I have ever seen. the happy skimmer would be better than that
get the fuck out of my thread faggot.

um i can think of a lot of companys that are not “catchy” and i think they do ok
US Steel
Pittsburgh Paints and Glass
AutoZone
Advanced Auto Parts
sometimes a descriptive company name is better then a “catchy” company name.
he tells his location and defines a general idea what the company does all in one name… Makes sense to me
Thats what i was thinking, but it might just be me, but i dont like the OC. I would think it would be better to spell out Ocean City (unless people in that area speak of the area as OC and not ocean city) i think of orange coutny or OCC when i hear just OC.

business 101- a business name should be catchy and stand out to your customers.
we are talking about Mike not a company founded on old money like US steel.
I got a name for it:
Darkstains pool service. “If we can’t clean it we are still taking your money, and chances are we won’t even show up cause we are all too stoned”

darkstar seems to be creating a new market with this company. the name needs to be descriptive and simple.

I feel this resource might be better help to the situation then quoting a non existant textbook.

i agree a catchy name sometimes helps out the business, I don’t think it will in Mikes case though
whitey’s design is good, mac’s idea is just funny

Simple. Sleek. Stylish.
Story for the logo:
The logo is basicly made of the letters “O” and “C”. The C being backwards but you get the point, also made it look somewhat like a eye. Due to the fact your going to be keeping a eye on peoples pools. :dunno:
