So, it’s hard to find a good answer on NASIOC so I’d figure I’d ask here.

I’m looking for a bit more power out of the wrx…

I’m tore between Cobb’s accessport and Utec.

My future plans for the car (engine wise) are not too extensive at all

Turbo back exhaust/uppipe (once readily avail. on 08’s)
and maybe a 18g turbo.
I’d be happy with 300AWHP. Again i’m not looking for fast…just something a bit quicker than stock.

Another reason why Accessport would seem better is I have a Mac laptop and I don’t belive it can be used with Utec.

I’m going to be going in stages.

Stg1 would just be a reflash untill this summer when I get an exhaust.
Then I’ll stay stg 2 for a while, and when I get bored with this go with the 18g with obvious fuel upgrades as well.

Anyone else with these type of mods care to chime in?

Cobb it, the new AP has even more abilities than the old one and is USB.

Inn-Tune can tell you alot more I’m sure.

yea cobb is the way to go.

i had the UTEC and it worked great for what i needed(back in 2004, lol)

ive heard nothing but positive things about the accesport, especially for bolt-ons

300awhp = .15*300+300 to the crank, that seems plenty fast not quick
