audi vs. bmw

wait so let me get this straight, as your suspension compresses camber increases rather than decreases? :wtf

mk4’s are stupid. caster, camber, both all over the place through hard turns. mcpherson struts suck.

I’d get you a nice shop shirt? :thumbup

My Jetta handles like a bag of shit, does that count for anything? :wtf

Ehh it isn’t that bad… Just a typical mk4… :ponder

what about mine?

dont know, dont care to be honest. i dont, and will never own an A6.

So drive my A4.

i saw your a4 last night, atleast richie thought it was yours, I shouldve taken it then

I have sold tons of Audi’s (also owned one) and owned/driven tons of BMW’s.

BMW is much more fun to drive
Audi has the much better AWD system
Parts are similar in cost and availability
BMW’s seem to be easier to work on
Audi’s transmissions take away any driving sporty fun
You will end up replacing parts of the BMW’s coolant system
You will replace coil packs on the Audi

In the end if you want to have a sporty toss it around daily driver, buy the BMW. If you want a comfortable, awesome in winter car, buy the Audi.

plus like eleventy billion:number1

+1 made me want an s4 :rofl

another question, how come no one every considers buying a mercedes excpet for singh?

cuz singh is kingh

:crazy

Because older MB’s are terrible in every way other than being a status symbol.

The newest c-class has really impressed me though.

I’ve owned one Audi and four BMW’s.

I bought a CPO Audi TT 225Q with 31K on it. I loved the car, but it was nothing but problems form the day I bought it.

The windows went up and down on their own.
The drivers window came of the track 3 times in one year.
Coil packs kept going out.
Secondary Air injection CEL code would never go away.
Replaced the Kombi valve twice (in a year)
MAF sensor died at 40K.
The turbo pissed oil everywhere.
The cheap ass plastic dipstick tube broke when I was checking my oil.

I’ve had much more experience with BMW’s. The issues I’ve had with my BMW’s are:

1995 740IL, problem started at 183K miles, “Transmission Program” (would buck and jerk/no reverse)
1999 328i (E46): had to replace multiple coils and thermostat (all after 120K miles)
2004 X3 51K miles (no issues or repairs)
2006 X3 33K miles (locking mechanism replaced)

Because they’re an absolute nightmare to work on IMO.

theyre bad when it comes to audio shit too. theres like 1 single wire for EVERYTHING and everything is wired into one piece so u cant remove shit easy. huge PITA

The ML320 I had was nothing but problems too. We had it for four years and replaced:

Crank angle sensor
Brake switch on pedal
Drive shaft bearing
Control unit for power windows/defroster failed (I rigged it up so I could close the windows)
Random engine gaskets
Rear springs were both broken
…and tons of random little things
