Hey guys, just a quick question. How do I get off the brake pedal on an auto S13? I already took off the cotter pin but there is this wierd screw thingy that goes through the pedal shaft. I have no idea how to get it out.
There are 4 Bolts you gotta remove in order to get the pedal to fall out. The same 4 Bolts hold the Booster in etc
As for the Cotter Pin and Bolt… as far as I remember the Bolt or what not should just slide right out
i believe the “weird screw thingy” is what holds the plunger from the master cylinder to the break pedal. Once you remove the cotter pin from that screw thingy you should be able to slide it out from the hole. That should disconect the plunger from the pedal shaft. Then there should be 2, i think 10mm bolts holding the brake pedal frame to the fire wall. Take thoses bolts out and disconect your brake light sensor. You will most likely have to drop your steering coloum aswell to remove the pedal. Also be careful not to crack the plastic around the brake plunger when removing it. If you do your master cylinder will lose pressure and well you won’t have brakes. I hope that helps … good luck…
