automotive vinyl wraps?

I was wondering if there was anywhere local that had any type of experience with this type of stuff.

I had a couple of ideas I’ve been toying around with, and I’d want it done right if I were to do it so I thought that I’d ask to see if there are places you guys would recommend or places to avoid.

Here’s a video of what I’m talking about, hopefully I’m not explaining it wrong

Route 51. up near rostraver airport, I seen a company that does this. On the righthand side where the road splits heading towards 70 from pleasant hills

I think cheeks was looking into this

Generic carbon fibeRRRRRRRRRR

what’s the purpose of this stuff?

any idea of the name of the place so I can call and get a quote?

exactly! I wanted to shave some weight of my race car, but that would take a lot of effort and I’d lose some creature comforts… so I figured if I made it look like it was all carbon fibeR it would be pretty much the same thing! lmao Chad you crack me up

mostly aesthetic, although it does add some protection to your paint as well I suppose. Beyond aesthetics, see above reply :itr41:

look up ohio boys racing. i know they have someone do that to their cars. looks fantastic. they are one of few i have seen have it done. i know a wrap company is one of their sponsors or theiy own it?

Would it keep parts from falling off??

I saw a few trucks and trailers at the last GNCC race that had a wrap from these guys.

First off: holy hell their camaro is BAD ASS.
Second off: I googled the number and it was coming up with Cincinnati hits, so that’s out.

I think duct tape would be better suited to that. Vinyls usually just wrap each body part, and are cut individually as they go from my understanding.

They look like they do really good work, if I can’t find somebody closer that can do it, I’ll give them a call. All I really want is something along the lines of what the video was doing with the GTR though, would a window tinting shop be able to do something simple like that? The car has one of those stupid little radio fins on the roof, or I’d give it a shot myself. Hell I might still try it depending on how much these places want to get it done.

Thanks for all the feedback so far guys, I really appreciate it

get the cobra done up in yellow. thats the fast color

only if its yellow carbon fibeR

wRong. all R’s have to be Red

There is a dude in north versailles next to my buddies garage that wraps stuff. He puts logos and crap on busses and trucks all the time. Forget the name right now.

Call Ferri Design in Carnegie. He’s worked with us on a few projects and does signage/vinyl wraps on vehicles all over the city. Talk to Chris and tell him Dan from Domination Chassis referred you, he’d be able to help you out.

Gregg Blair or Michael Meloy. They are in Mt Pleasant. They do cars, trucks, bikes, etc. They have been doing alot of bikes and their website mainly shows bikes. They can do any design you want, on pretty much any surface.

Tell them Tod Hoffmann sent ya.
