Av Fab quick change diff set-up for s-chassi

that might be due to his high hp level and dual caliper bracket. the added thickness of the bracket behind the hub causes the cv joints to be pulled apart and fail much easier. i have heard of spacers that go between the diff and cv shaft.

you actually add weight with this setup. its a bullet proof setup. driving across the country to break parts suck. build it right and you actually save money. pluss the bonus of the ratio changes. a diff change takes us 25min usually. when you have only 2 hours of practice, and usually play with 2-3 ratios, the time saving will keep us on the track longer for more practice

think of it like this. one trip to florida is 5000kms there and back, if i break a diff or axle in my qualifing run, i drive all the way home wasting all that money for parts breaking, so that trip could have payed for the upgrade alone…

i actually dont use a bolt on bracket, and we have developed a diff to axle spacer. testing went really well. we are currently developing another solution for the higher hp bros

Always wondered about these. Cool thing, sadly people wont pay 5000 for a nice car, let alone some axels and a subframe worth your asking price (or close to it) at least.

This is a very similar diff to what Bill at Dentsport Garage runs. I don’t think his was quite this expensive, but his fabbing setup was a bit more involved, it looks like.

I’m laughing at the people talking shit about this though. I’m definitely jelly of the OP for having this.
