come on guys i know it doesnt cost 300-600$ to get the gears welded in my diff. i can get a lsd diff for 75$. and bolt it in myself. but i just wants someone to weld the gears up in the diff. come one guys. please help me out.

^If you know it doesn’t cost those prices why are you asking.
If the person does it right, it won’t be a 30 min job.

the reason y i am asking is BECAUSE I WANT SOMEONE TO WELD MY DIFF UP!! that is why im asking. im not being rude and ppl are posting retarded posts. dont post unless you can help me out. i dont want to hear no bs. thank you.

$300-400 is a good price considering whats involved to do it right, you have to take out the diff, torch the inside to make it hot enough for the weld to penetrate, weld the shit out of it for about an hour then let it cool, put new fluid in it and re-install it trust me , i did mine and a few others EXPECT TP PAY $300-400 FOR A PROPER JOB !!!

farmer

how driveable is a car with welded-diff? can you daily drive it safely and comfortably lol?

so farmer it would be cheaper to just buy a whole lsd diff and bolt it up?

if you can not piece that answer together on your own…

i think you should pay 3-400 dollars to get it done…

btw, that price is extremely reasonable.

do you really think it costs nothing to install a diff?

I paid $450 just for the installation of my Nismo GT Pro 2way LSD.

Getting it in there right and having everything line up is key to having your diff last a long time AND work properly.

$300 isn’t bad at all considering welding the diff and installing it, knowing full well that all the bolts are *probably rusted to shit.

if u really want it welded let me know

ill weld it and install it for $175

i have had a welded diff in my car for little over a year
the only time u notice it is during low speeds while turning (between 0-15km)

a stock vlsd sucks… they are only good if u want to spin both tires off a line.

^^ not true mangggggg

go hard into a downhill highway ramp and you’ll notice some understeer once you let off the gas.

not really understeer, but almost like a lag of some sort in the steering.

At one point I was hard on VLSD’s, but after being convinced and trying out the welded…well, lets just say, start driving with your foot.

I currently have a welded diff in my car, and daily it. Corners in the snow? Your taking them sideways…I embrace it.

If your hard for drifting and are willing to deal with a little chatter at low speeds than its for you, but if your just someone who wants to, whip it around a corner here and there, stay away.

It greatly improved my drifting on track. Its different to get use to, but when you catch the drift, you really do.

lol with my suspension it just kicks out

ok fine when u 3 wheel on a drive way u only spin 1 wheel. and thats gay

2 way or welded is the best

Personally, I prefer the welded. Although illegal, its cheaper if you can deal with it yourself. Although a 2 way is much more proper and smart, the welded is a very easy supplement for a diff.

thanks to everyone who replied but i have found a cuztom fabrication shop in KW who will weld my diff for one hour of shop labour. 50$. thanks to Jedi Car Fan
